Sonorama: ...This is the first ever reissue of the lost debut LP by Jamaican tenor saxophone player Fitz Gore and his experimental group The Talismen from 1975. The work was originally released on Gore’s GorBra label and delivers an introspective, sensitive form of Spiritual Jazz. Recorded live in West Germany, the personnel are “Shepherd” Fitz Gore with Ulrich Kurth (Piano), Gérard Ebbo (Bass), Philippe Zobda-Quitman (Drums) and Lamont Hampton (Congas). The LP includes versions of John Coltrane’s “Dahomey Dance“ and the Horace Silver classic ‘Song For My Father“. The reissue was carefully remastered in 2021 and features the original cover design with a two page insert of the original notes, completed by the inclusion of Fitz`s poem “Sketches of Pain“.
Plush is back honey! We begged for more & they listened. The Plush Managements™️ sophomore serve comes fully loaded with the party-starting dance kindling. 6 tracks that come with an official warning; HIGHLY FLAMMABLE. An audio smoke machine, juiced and ready2haze an event near you. Expect Regfant and D.Tiff’s Signature sass. Norty but nice jacked up edits that make you question if the originals even existed. The record touches on something old, something new, something borrowed and FREE BRITNEY too. Undeniable straight up bass in your face 4/4. It’s positively unethical to imagine a world without that precious Plush touch, gentle but firmly fierce! rawr xx :p
Fever AM presents Xen Chron with his label debut “Deleted Vapor”. Based in Weymouth, Massachusetts, Xen Chron is the most recent alias from a producer active at varying levels of obscurity for over 20 years. This EP consists of five tracks of forward thinking, psychedelic, broken techno that lean into “sci-fi sounds & atonalities, a sense of fun, & head nod factor” in his own words. At a time where clubs and dancefloors are almost completely absent worldwide, this EP captures current moods and feelings while insisting for us to keep moving.
With great notoriety for his reworks across SoundCloud, London native, K, Le Maestro has forged an undeniable signature sound for himself. Mixing old school with new, K has really set himself up to becoming a great in the next few years. His knack for sampling records and programming knocking drums, this is nothing new for K, Le Maestro. At only 22 years old, he has come a long way from making beats for himself in his bedroom to having his edits widespread across the internet and garnering popularity in the outside world among DJs and music heads alike.Inspired by greats such as J Dilla, Madlib, Black Milk and more, K is on pace to becoming a legendary producer in his own right. With cosigns from respected Hip-Hop figures to respected labels such as Soulection. As of 2019, K has been gearing up to release his debut album via Jakarta Records. This LP is on pace to defining K, Le Maestro's sound outside of doing edits and reworks as well as showcasing his versatlity as a producer as well as his taste as an artist.K, Le Maestro is truly a maestro of his art; fusing between different genres while maintaining the signature knock that his instrumentals provide. From his roots in Hip-Hop to expanding to genres such as R&B and even funk/dance, K has a fine tuned ear for beats and rhythms that will get your body moving and elevate your mood.
We Jazz Records is delighted to share the first edition of our new series of reworks with you . Our aim is to invite some of our favourite artists to take a fresh look at our album releases with the interval of 10 full length album releases. In other words, the invited artist has complete freedom to choose (or not to choose) any sample material from their allocated range of ten We Jazz Records albums, and there are no artistic boundaries of what they should do with the material. Each artist will then create a new musical piece based on the sample material and whatever instrumentation they wish to add to it. Fun, eh?
