Speed Dealer Moms - APRIL TWO 11 [OFFICIAL VIDEO]youtu.be/TCRN59ZG9bMA decade after releasing their debut EP through Planet Mu's Timesig imprint, Speed Dealer Moms—a collaborative electronic music project with a fluid line-up commonly made up of Aaron Funk, John Frusciante and Chris McDonald—are set to make their long-awaited return this summer with a new offering entitled SDM-LA8-441-114-211. The 3-track EP, arriving June 18 through Evar Records, offers a glimpse into the treasure trove of Speed Dealer Moms' unreleased material, with each song title alluding to the date in which it was recorded and in how many takes.

NCM: ...NOOD5 features contributions from six friends of the Noods family, consisting of Berlin based techno iconoclast Ossia, shadowy Bristol producer fresh from a highly acclaimed EP on Berceuse Heroique, Pessimist, Timedance affiliate Cleyra, Milanese sound experimentalist Katatonic Silentio, Rio underground lynchpin and RBMA graduate Valesuchi and a collaboration from Dekmantel’s Epsilove and the elusive Ployer Fower.The record is a confident assertion of the station’s sonic ethos; filled with tense, dread-laden soundscapes that foreground the percussion and sub bass. Reverbs and delays are utilised in the true dub tradition, wringing out unconventional grooves from the negative space between the drums: it’s music for the head and the body.Originally intended to be released on our fifth birthday hence the name, fuck it — the pandemic slowed much down so have it on our sixth birthday instead.

RWD-FWD: ...“This cassette is a re release of a 2 track cassette Reducer gave away to the 1st 23 punters through the door at our 2nd gig in 1985.We have added 2 other tracks from the same recording session because we are lovely people who wish to share enlightenment.Other than that this cassette appears as it did back then.At the beginning of Reducer we had no equipment of our own, so used what was available in the “back room” 4 track cassette recording home studios, we could just afford.These 4 tracks are the first ever recorded by Reducer – the then 3 members all playing the same synthesizer at the same time whilst tape loops ran alongside, and/or one of us playing bells & flutes, whilst the other two played the synth, all tracks are recorded live with no overdubs.This simple but extremely effective way of getting an un rehearsed spontaneity into our work proved to us we had an understanding & empathy that would go on to become the fully fledged Reducer.”

Noods Radio: ...Following on from our first outing Hypha we’re back with Splint, an 11 track compilation featuring new and original music from Noods residents and associates, showcasing artists both from our home in Bristol and across the world.Splint consolidates its artists disparate influences into a coherent sound, a series of swampy, low tempo workouts, filled with echo drenched vocals, sludgy drums and irregular grooves that unspool gradually rewarding repeated listens.This compilation features an entirely new cast of contributors, including Barcelona duo Dame Area, Bristol based sound artist EBU, and Avon Terror Corps affiliate Jackson Veil Panther.Splint will be available as a limited run cassette and digital download — get them while they're hot!
