about
It’s time to embark on the next chapter of extra-terrestrial worldbuilding - the second
instalment of Seismic Records is here. Stepping in is sonic explorer Pyramid of Knowledge
a.k.a. K.O.P 32. Based in Seoul but born and raised in France, the Beyond The Bridge label
head is blending his Tekno roots with an introspective approach to music, carving out a
trademark sound led by pensive rhythms and psychedelic atmospheres. With fierce
precision and spellbinding force - you’re invited to explore the unknown depths of your
psyche as you enter the state of ‘Fusion’.
In all its ominous grace, the journey takes off with ‘CFU’. A kaleidoscope-esque acid ritual is
guided by subtle yet uptempo kicks, lifting us into the first phase of the cleansing. Followed
by ‘Xer’, where an ancient chant introduces the next dimension of consciousness-expansion.
The progression of energy tells us that the higher powers... more

Spekki Webu, introflexive cartographer and antimatter conduit, pares back reality for Seismic’s first entry. Patiently arranging meticulous space, complex parts groan and clatter, hushed by whistling icy cosmic winds rising into intense pensive tension. Gargantuan crystalline components inscribed with strange, detailed petroglyphs whirl in mid air, as the cosmic gale whistles around – the slow walls raise without a sound, trapping space and transporting all inwards to nothing and on.The new mutation of Seismic’s transportive event series into record label is marked with Spekki Webu’s ‘Kept in Reality EP’; collecting shadowy, industrial atmospherics and illbient, Spekki taps the frayed and raw fringes of deep tekno and proto-goa to explore charged rhythmic noise – plotting somewhere between early deep cerebellum strokes for unreal assemblies.creditsreleased November 14, 2023Written, produced and mixed by Spekki WebuMastering by Miloš FedorGraphic design by Ema DoležalováDistribution by One Eye Witness
Omni – meaning all-encompassing – is an apt title for celebrating over a decade of existence of Blue Hour Music. Marking the musical diversity and longevity of Blue Hour's imprint, the Omni V/A series brings together a wide range of artists from the full electronic music spectrum, plunging into a pool of techno, trance, breaks and everything in between.
For the next Blue Hour Music chapter, a special friend of the label’s family is stepping in. Hailing from the city of Delft, Dutch composer Spekki Webu delivers ‘Tenzan’, a forceful 4-track EP which might be the producer’s most ambitious project to date. Spawned from a place of personal reflection, Tenzan is the result of the ongoing cycle of life that has been influencing Webu since his early years. This philosophy was heightened after a fascination for mountains and a series of dreams about enlightenment on top of a sacred hill. These dreams later became reality after witnessing a ‘Tenzan’ (translated as ‘heavenly mountain’) during a trip in the Japanese wilderness. The cycle of life as represented by the heavenly mountain formed the spiritual direction to complete the narrative for this long-running Blue Hour project - as the leaves fell into place a new cycle began. Aligned in force and vigor, the A-side takes off with ‘Okada’, a grooving tension builder led by ominous melodies that drift off into the depths of the forests. Entering a state of empyrean elevation, ‘Horizon’ is a dub-induced peak-time roller of monumental grandeur. On the B side, the gears shift as ‘Solaris’ unveils a contemporary reinterpretation of 90s acid trance, fusing psyche-warping panned drones and minimalistic drum programming set to make blood pressures rise. Coming full circle, ‘Eion’ delivers euphoric salvation with a pulsating bassline guided by dreamy, repetitive soundscapes that reach for atmospheric heights. Vertigo-induced and wisdom-fueled, Spekki Webu opens the portal to the next cycle of sonic exploration marking the 25th release on Blue Hour Music.
A third Punctuality enters the chat; its latest member Maara proclaiming Drama On for Spray’s ever-evolving label. The Montreal maverick cues up a psy-eyed sesh for the ages, 5 wily thumpers shaded sapphic for those enthralled by the mischievous dance.Since 2021, Maara has operated on an ‘all pills, no frills’ basis. Her prolific run of EPs for the likes of Kalahari Oyster Cult, Step Ball Chain and Radiant Records has cemented her rightful place within the club pantheon of the prog and divine. Spray and his Punctuality cohort reside there also, teasing clubland salvation for those who dare. Maara giddily joins for the ride, offering a gift in the name of Drama On; an EP of direct dancefloor transmissions that map out kinetic paths to sordid euphoria. The curtains rise as What U Do 2 Me skips, gallops and jumps across theatrical plains, breaking for a titular reflection before reuniting with its ravey chaos. Drama On swings sharper, riding a sleazy donk through a dimly lit groove of pulsating vulgarity. An outright sassier affair celebrates Sigmund Freud’s Big Day Out; an unconscious slip of the hard house tongue that feeds an otherwise techno-driven delirium with wry glee. Give Me Ecstasy eases the tempo while raising the temperature, commanding your gaze with a noxious roller that seductively writhes in sexed-up delight. The house lights beckon, and Not My Web, Not My Problem she retorts with an unforgiving groove thrusting its charged-up rump through a cauldron of salacious murmurs and groans. It’s Maara’s world, and we’re all just dancing in it.
Dear listener,On behalf of re:discovery records, it is with great excitement that we announce the reissue of 'Synaesthetic' by A Positive Life. A seminal release that became beloved by their owners but somehow slipped thru the cracks on recognition on both sides of the Atlantic. The album Is chalk full of top-notch tracks in this style. It features the magical Orb-esque single 'The Calling', which helped show the way forward to a deeper meaning in electronic music while the amazing 'Pleidean Communication', took this journey even deeper. 'Spacehopper' & 'Bathtub' latched on to the growing trance sound of the time but as you can hear, they are prime examples at ones that were successful at not going overboard but kept the sound timeless with a less is more approach. 'Aquasonic' is a classic in the ambient dub scene that concludes this album on a memorable note. A special treat to this reissue is that we included 'Warehouse 5am', which was only featured on the American cd version. Originally released in 1994 and having recently grown a warranted cult status as copies became hard to secure for a reasonable value, we are happy to present this in a beautiful package with no expense sacrificed. It is our hope that they bring you as much happiness as they have brought us and that this release gives them new life to a new audience and a special fond memory to those that knew them."Once upon a time there was a young man.rough at the edges but with stars in his eyes"Synaesthetic : A sonic love letter to the years of Acid House, Chemistry, Science, inner space, love, friendship and journeys into the Ultraworld..Be a light in the darknessStay highFind the "others"Lifer x"i(signature)Stefan PierlejewskiCommand Pilot - rd004Pathways : Jarre. Ach, komm, ein Mensch kann nicht immer gut sein... This sentiment rings amusingly true for us. How did we find ourselves in this post-truth era, and why does such a term actually exist? In a world where distinctions between right and wrong blur, does the clarity of a black-and-white delineation persist? Are we progressing, or are we regressing to a state reminiscent of the past? Weaving together the complex tapestry of gore, politics, emotions, and, of course, the human experience in this work is done intricately and reflectively by the hands of Christoph de Babalon.
