Stretch And Bobbito + The M19s Band - No Requests | Uprising Music (SAB01)

Stretch and Bobbito’s debut album No Requests explores the legendary club DJs’ vast musical knowledge with covers of songs directly from their record crates!

Featuring the M19s Band, a live band of elite hand-picked musicians, the gatekeepers of ‘90s Hip Hop step outside their foundational genre base to produce Latin, Afro-beat, Samba, Jazz, Reggae, and Soul reinterpretations of dance floor bangers—ranging from popular to rare and obscure—which loosely depart expected structure and create new nuances to familiar tunes. The group also offers original compositions along the sonic journey. All tracks have one goal in mind: GROOVE!

High Focus Records is proud to present ‘Crimes Against Creation’ a brand new album from Coops, entirely produced by long time collaborator Talos. The 8-track project - which was made in just 4 studio sessions - Was turned around in record time to ensure the music was released during this unparalleled time in history. Featuring singles such as ‘Laws Of Nature’ and the chilling ‘Bring The Fire’, this album serves a poignant reminder that we are living in serious times.Artwork by Coops & Talos.
Sonorama: ...This is the first ever reissue of the lost debut LP by Jamaican tenor saxophone player Fitz Gore and his experimental group The Talismen from 1975. The work was originally released on Gore’s GorBra label and delivers an introspective, sensitive form of Spiritual Jazz. Recorded live in West Germany, the personnel are “Shepherd” Fitz Gore with Ulrich Kurth (Piano), Gérard Ebbo (Bass), Philippe Zobda-Quitman (Drums) and Lamont Hampton (Congas). The LP includes versions of John Coltrane’s “Dahomey Dance“ and the Horace Silver classic ‘Song For My Father“. The reissue was carefully remastered in 2021 and features the original cover design with a two page insert of the original notes, completed by the inclusion of Fitz`s poem “Sketches of Pain“.
Fliptrix - Third Eye Of The Storm Ft. Jehst, Farma G, Jam Baxter, Verb T, Buggsy & Ramson Badbonez. Production by Chemo, 184, Leaf Dog, Jon Phonics, Medison, Naive, Runone, ExtraTeless, Mr Boss, Dillijence, Reklews, Kerem Fraiche & Kontigo.
Ramson Badbonez returns with his brand new album ‘FUSION’.Embedded in the streets and lanes of Dalston, Hackney and Islington, where Badbonez made his way up, no stone is left unturned as Badbonez dissects the many highs and lows that took him from a life running the roads, to documenting his experiences across thirteen brand new tracks. The most impressive thing about ‘FUSION’ is the dexterity Badbonez showcases across the release, expertly traversing a catalogue of rhythms and tempos with his now signature delivery; crystal clear, unapologetic, razor sharp, yet intricate and highly complex multi-syllables.
This genre blurring offering is, in part, down to the curated production talent joining forces to ensure a formidable spectrum of neck-snapping sonics are offered up to both Badbonez and the listener. From album opener ‘Alpha’ produced by the one-and-only High Plains Drifter Jehst, to offerings from Dead Players’ very own GhostTown, long-time collaborator Mark Fear and heavy-hitter Forest DLG, and with a features list that includes Truemendous, Datkid and Confucius MC, ‘FUSION’ marks a significant moment in Ramson Badbonez career; elevating his position as one of the great commentators on life in London town, but further, as one of the rap games most innovative outliers.
