LASH: On LASH01 ‘Tongue Drum’ , Weird Weather unleash three tracks of gnarly rave clobber, stirring up a sludge of Scorn, classic Rephlex and out-there Adrian Sherwood in the process.The title track whips up a heady mix of fuzzy techno tonk and skewed gamelan, charged with horror soundtrack growls and wonky trance stabs. On the reverse, ‘Paint’ (hot off Jon K’s sold-out T TT mixtape) is an apocalyptic 808 dub scrubbed with industrial scourers. Mutilated rhythms and red-lined bass then push ‘Paint (Black, Red, Green)’ over the edge into oblivion.Techno incantations for the undead.
